On 28th May 1951 a tractor was driven by an unauthorised driver around a hanger at Finningley airfield in a somewhat erratic manner between various aeroplanes. An aeroplane of No.101 Flying Refresher School, Wellington LR112, was driven in to and the elevator and tail sustained damage. The tractor driver was almost certainly taken to court martial for this incident.
