The only information in respect of this incident is taken from the unit records which offer clues but very little concrete information. On an unknown date during the last week of June 1951 this unidentified 228 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft clipped the boundary fence while landing at Leeming airfield on the approach to land at Runway 35. The undercarriage appears to have remained intact but the fence was damaged.
