The Central Gunnery School record book (AIR29/2314) gives very basic information that on 19th January 1951 this aircraft received damage. Given the unit was based at Leconfield it probably occurred there. This incident was probably the incident that saw a Cat.3R (probably a Re-Cat.3R) damage assessment made against it on 3rd March 1951 which was then upgraded to Re.Cat.5(s) on 18th June 1951 that saw it struck off charge. It must have been an initial Cat.2 damage assessment made following the incident in January.
