On 26th July 1951 this 205 Advanced Flying School aircraft suffered a damaged tail as the result of a heavy landing at Neasham airfield. The unit was based at Middleton St.George but had the use of Neasham airfield as a relief landing ground, this was the airfield previously known as Croft.
