On 16th July 1951 a Cat.4R damage assessment was made against this aircraft. It was on charge with the Central Gunnery School, based at Leconfield, at the time but how it was damaged is not known. It was probably not the result of a flying accident as their mishaps are listed in the unit orb, what occurred to it is not known. It was later taken away for a repair in works in September 1951.
