On 13th September 1951 this 242 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft swung on take off from Dishforth airfield and tipped on to its nose. The damage was not repaired and it was converted into an instructional airframe 6923M.
The aircraft had been with 241 OCU but this became 242 OCU on 16th April 1951.
