On 26th July 1951 this unidentified Spitfire of 103 Flying Refresher School aircraft tipped on to nose at Breighton airfield. The unit was based at Full Sutton but used Breighton as a relief landing ground for some of their training exercises. The unit records do not fully identify the aircraft involved.
