On 19th February 1951 this unidentified 228 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft was being given a ground run at Leeming airfield when it tipped forward and the propeller tips struck the ground. Minor damage to the aircraft resulted. The aircraft may have been "piloted" by a member of ground staff when this incident occurred. The unit record book does not identify the aircraft.
