Meteor T.7 VW455 (probably) at Driffield airfield.

On 12th December 1950 this No.203 Advanced Flying School aircraft was flown on a training exercise successfully. After landing the crew began taxying on the perimeter track and when a turn was made the aircraft skidded on a patch of ice, this caused the starboard undercarriage leg to collapse. The incident probably occurred at Driffield airfield where the unit was based although it also used Carnaby airfield as a relief landing ground. The 203 AFS record book scribe did a poor job of recording their flying accidents around this time in respect of identifying where each incident occurred.

The damage was assessed as Cat.3R and it was repaired on site, with it being returned to 203 A.F.S. charge on 10th May 1951.
