On 22nd December 1950 Meteor VW419, of the Flying Refresher School, based at Finningley, overshot on landing at Finningley and ran across thirty yards of grass and into a ditch. Minor Cat.3R damage resulted and it was repaired on site by 60 MU, with it being returned to F.R.S. charge on 5th March 1951.
