On 31st July 1950 this 241 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft crash landed on the final approach to land at Dishforth airfield and caught fire. The location was given as being near a hanger in a newspaper report but it may have been anywhere up to a mile away from the airfield. It would not make an approach to land that took it over a hanger.
