On 20th April 1950 this 609 Squadron aircraft undershot on landing at Yeadon airfield, it then bounced on touching down and tipped up on to it's nose. The photograph shown above is probably TE437 after this incident.
Pilot - F/O Peter Bailey DFC RAF (178884).
Peter Bailey had been awarded the DFC for service with 102 Squadron in 1945. He transferred to the Secretarial Branch of the RAF in February 1952 though appears to have remained with 609 Squadron as he became their ORB scribe.
