On 28th April 1950 this Central Gunnery School aircraft was making single engine landing at Leconfield but undershot and struck an embankment just short of the runway that broke off the undercarriage. It was badly damaged and was not repaired. With Leconfield airfield being directly next to the Hull to Bridlington railway line it may turn out that the embankment may have been that on which the railway ran.
