On 2nd June 1950 this 64 Squadron aircraft suffered the port engine fail in the air. The pilot attempted to make a single engine landing approach with no flaps extended at Linton on Ouse but overshot on landing. While the pilot got the aircraft onto the ground he raised the undercarriage to stop the aircraft.
