Wellington ME972 at Finningley airfield.

The Flying Refresher School record book (AIR29/1809) gives basic information that on 29th June 1950 this aircraft was flown and landed at Finningley without incident. It taxied to halt, stopped and chocks were later fitted in front of the wheels. The crew presumably ran down the engines and then left the aircraft. Later, a fitter pulled one of the chocks away in preparation for to it being towed into a hanger but a strong wind then swung the aircraft around on the one moving wheel and the starboard propeller struck a fuel bowser.
