On 16th September 1950 this No.9 Refresher Flying School aircraft was being flown in the general area around Doncaster where it was based when the engine cut in the Swinefleet area. The pilot lost control and the aircraft spun into the ground around a mile south-east of the village and he sustained injuries. The aircraft was badly damaged and struck off charge a few days later.
