Meteor F.4 EE593 at Driffield airfield.

On 6th June 1950 this No.203 Advanced Flying School aircraft was flown on a formation flying exercise when the pilot noticed the fuel gauge was low. He made a high and fast landing on the grass to the port side of the runway at Driffield airfield, one of the main tyres burst and the pilot lost control. Minor damage resulted. It was felt that the pilot had made a bad landing approach and it was noted that it was his second accident so he was suspended from flying.
