On 9th June 1950 the student pilot who was flying this No.203 Advanced Flying School aircraft made an approach to land at Driffield but forgot to lower the flaps on the final approach. He also made the approach at too great a speed so that after landing on the short runway he could not stop the aircraft on the runway and ran through the boundary hedge. The pilot was subsequently suspended from flying.
