The Flying Refresher School record book (AIR29/1809) gives basic information that on 7th July 1950 this unidentified Harvard was flown on a night dual circuits and landing exercise. After one of the landings the aircraft began to swing which the student pilot overcorrected three times, after the third swing a more violent further swing occurred which the instructor was able to correct. It finally came to a halt and an inspection found that the undercarriage legs were servicable but the port wing tip had sustained some damage.
