The Flying Refresher School record book (AIR29/1809) gives basic information that on 29th December 1950 this unidentified aircraft was being flown on a low flying training exercise when it collided with a bird. The leading edge of the starboard wing was damaged but despite this the pilot went on to land at Finningley without further incident.
