The Flying Refresher School record book (AIR29/1809) gives basic information that on 20th October 1950 this aircraft landed tail wheel first in a slight down-wind and cross-wind landing at Finningley. The aircraft began to swing and though the pilot attempted to regain control he over-corrected the swing, it then left the runway and the port wing struck the ground.
