The Central Gunnery School record book (AIR29/1789) gives very basic information that on 15th August 1949 this aircraft received damage. Given the unit was based at Leconfield and that the No.60 Maintenance Unit record book states that they undertook work on this aircraft at Leconfield, it almost certainly occurred there. What happened is not known.
