Mosquito NF.36 RL265 at Leeming airfield.

On 29th January 1949 this No.228 Operational Conversion Unit took off from Leeming airfield and climbed to 4,000 feet. The starboard engine then failed and the pilot was unable to feather the propeller. This caused additional drag on the aircraft and the pilot could not maintain height. The pilot managed to get back to Leeming airfield and made a belly landing on the airfield.
