The No.228 Operational Conversion Unit record book states that on 5th October 1949 this aircraft undershot on the approach to land at Leeming airfield and it struck two fences which damaged the wheels. It appears to have reached the airfield. The aircraft's AM Form 78 does not list any damage so it must have been only minor and received repair on site.
