The No.228 Operational Conversion Unit record book states that on 8th June 1949 this Brigand was on the approach to land at Leeming airfield when it undershot and struck the boundary fences. The propellers and wheels of the aircraft sustained damage. The aircraft appears to have made it onto the airfield.
