Wellington B.10 PF993 at or near Finningley.

On 10th November 1949 this Flying Refresher School aircraft flew through a flock of ducks in the Finningley area while flying at low level during a training flight. Damage to the port wing, fuselage and propeller spinner resulted. The pilot remained in control despite the damage and made a landing either on the airfield at Finningley or a forced landing near the airfield. Depending where the aircraft landed it may turn out to have been in Lincolnshire or Nottinghamshire. Information is required.
