The Flying Refresher School record book (AIR29/1809) gives basic information that on 10th October 1949 this aircraft suffered a punctured carburettor float which caused a fuel leak. The escaping fuel then ignited causing a small fire and minor damage to the aircraft. No reference is made to what the aircraft actually was.
