Anson C.19 VL350 at Linton on Ouse airfield.
On 15th July 1948 this No.64 Group Communications Flight aircraft made a single engined approach to land at Linton on Ouse airfield but ended up crashing off the end of the runway. The aircraft appears to have been based at Rufforth airfield and would have been an Anson available for use by 64 (Northern Reserve) Group units. By way of example as to how the aircraft may have been used; Air Cadets from 345 (Tynemouth) Squadron ATC had had an annual training camp at Dishforth around this time, they were given flights in at least one of the 64 Group Ansons.
