Mosquito FB.6 TA523 at Leeming airfield.
On 8th March 1948 this No.228 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft was being flown on the pupil pilot's first solo flight on the tyre when it swung on landing at Leeming, the swing was not corrected and the undercarriage collapsed. The damage was initially Cat.B/FA and a repair considered but was later re-assessed and upgraded to Re-Cat.E on 31st May 1948, and it was struck off charge
