Spitfire LF.XVI SL570 at Leconfield airfield.
On 16th September 1948 this Central Gunnery School aircraft touched down on an upward sloping runway at Leconfield airfield, the aircraft appears to have become airborne briefly before stalling and hitting the undercarriage hard on the ground. The undercarriage collapsed and it came to rest on it's belly.
