Wellington T.18 ND107 at Leeming airfield.
On 29th January 1948 this No.228 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft caught fire in a hanger at Leeming airfield when an inspection lamp was allowed to touch the aircraft and was left un-noticed.
fabric burnt off the starboard wing before it was extinguished. Mosquito TA503 also caught fire in a hanger at Leeming on this date but both incidents are believed unconnected.
