Unidentified Spitfire damaged in the air, landed at Finningley airfield.
The No.1 (P)RFU record book (AIR29/1809) gives basic information that during the month of March 1948 a Spitfire suffered the canopy detaching in flight which then struck the pilot who sustained minor injuries.
