On an unknown date in January 1948 a gale affected Finningley airfield, during which a steel locker inside No.4 Hanger was blown into an Oxford aircraft, slightly damaging it. In trying to avert the incident an airman was pinned between the two and was slightly injured. This information is purely drawn from the No.1 (P)RFU record book (AIR29/1809) and I presume that the Oxford was one of their aeroplanes.
