Harvard T.2B FX468 near Finningley.
During the night of 24th November 1948 the pilot of this No.1 (Pilots) Refresher Flying Unit aircraft was attempting to land at Finningley airfield and made an approach to land off the runway line. He mistook a sodium light for the airfield flarepath lighting. Descending too early the aircraft undershot and collided with a farm building off the airfield site. The pilot sustained injuries.
