Anson T.1 EF876 damaged in the air, (possibly) landed at Topcliffe airfield.

During a flight on 16th November 1948 in this No.2 Air Navigation School aircraft the pilot attempted to move the Very pistol from it's stowage while in flight and it accidentally fired. A fire broke out inside the aircraft but the crew put it out. The aircraft then landed without further incident, possibly at Topcliffe. I am not sure where No.2 A.N.S. were based at the time; possibly Middleton St.George. The damage was done and it was written off shortly afterward. More information is required.
