Wellington T.10 RP574 at Topcliffe airfield.
On 21st August 1947 this No.1 Air Navigation School was being flown on a training exercise and during an attempted single engine landing being made by a pupil pilot at Topcliffe the approach speed became too low. The aircraft began to sink toward the ground and while the instructor took over control he could not prevent yawing to starboard. Fearing control was being lost be made a belly landing on the airfield.
