Wellington T.18 ND119 at Leeming airfield.
On 20th September 1947 this No.228 Operational Conversion Unit was being flown on a training flight when the pilot raised the undercarriage too early on take off at Leeming. The port wheel brushed the ground while it was retracting and was slightly damaged. After the flight, on landing back at Leeming the undercarriage leg collapsed. The damage was later assessed and it was deemed beyond repair.
