Wellington T.10 LP915 near Driffield airfield.
On 22nd July 1947 this No.10 Air Navigation School was flown on a training flight that involved practicing single engine landings at Driffield airfield. On the approach to land the pilot noticed that an Anson was blocking the runway so attempted to unfeather the engine of the second engine and fly an overshoot. The engine would not restart and the aircraft would not maintain height so the pilot was left to make a forced landing in the overshoot area just beyond the airfield. The aircraft was badly damaged and deemed beyond repair.
