Mosquito RS671 at East Moor airfield.

On 25th June 1946 this pilot was about to undertake a solo training flight with No.54 Operational Training Unit but on taking off from East Moor airfield he raised the undercarriage too early causing the aircraft to sink down onto the runway as it was partially retracted. The mechanism was damaged forcing the pilot to make a belly landing on his return to East Moor three hours later.
