Lancaster III PB611 at Lindholme airfield.

18th November 1946 this 1653 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft flew what was described on the AM Form 1180 as a "diversion" flight. At 18.30hrs it attempted a landing at Lindholme airfield with a gusty wind blowing. It also landed too far down and then overshot the runway sustaining minor damage to the airframe and to both inner engines. Minor Cat.Ac/FA damage was the damage assessment and it was later repaired on site by a team from A.V.Roe Ltd.
