Lancaster III PB419 at Finningley airfield.

During the afternoon of 29th April 1946 this Bomber Command Instructors School aircraft was placed on jacks at Finningley airfield so that the main wheels could be changed. Unfortunately the positioning of the jacks was wrong and at least one broke causing the aircraft to move when the jacks slipped, the result was that one of the wings of the aircraft became damaged.
