Spitfire LF.IX NH317 at Hutton Cranswick airfield.

On 21st March 1946 this 129 Squadron was flown on a formation flying training exercise. After landing at Hutton Cranswick airfield in a gusty wind on the completion of the exercise the aircraft over-ran the perimeter track and collided with the wall of a blast pen. It came to rest upside down and was badly damaged. The pilot appears to have escaped injury.
