Mosquito NF.XXX MT459 at East Moor airfield.

On 1st February 1946 this No.54 Operational Training Unit aircraft landed at East Moor airfield and once on the ground one of the undercarriage legs retracted. The unit records claim the aircraft was Mosquito NT459 but this serial number was never allocated to a Mosquito, MT459 was and it was a 54 O.T.U. aircraft on the date this mishap occurred. Cat.Ac damage was the damage assessment made and a repair on site was carried out then it was returned to 54 O.T.U..
