Mosquito FB.VI HR196 at Croft airfield.
On 4th February 1946 this No.13 Operational Training Unit aircraft was flown on a training flight. During a landing at Croft airfield the aircraft bounced and then swing off runway. It came to rest with the undercarriage collapsed. The pilot was one of a number of Dutch airmen attached to 13 O.T.U. from 320 Squadron. The damage must have assessed as being Cat.E/FA but there is no mention of it on the aircraft's AM Form 78. It was simply struck off charge on 28th February 1946.
Pilot - S/Ldr Johan Willem de Bruijn Kops RNNAS.
