Halifax RG510 damaged in the air, landed at Full Sutton airfield.

During the afternoon of 22nd March 1945 the crew of this 77 Squadron aircraft were detailed to fly an operational flight to bomb Dulmen and they took off from Full Sutton airfield at 11.30hrs. The crew released their bomb load onto the target at 14.20hrs from 13,000 feet. The aircraft was damaged by flak during the course of the flight but despite the damage the crew returned to Full Sutton and landed at 16.30hrs. Damage was found to the port fin, starboard rudder, fuselage, engineer's panel, starboard mainplanes and the hydraulics pipes.
