Halifax RG439 at Melbourne airfield.
On 1st February 1945 this aircraft was transferred from 346 Squadron, based at Elvington, to 10 Squadron based at Melbourne. It was flown the short distance by a 10 Squadron pilot and landed fifteen minutes later. At 14.57hrs it was being taxied on the perimeter track around Melbourne airfield when it struck a stationary contractor's vehicle. Minor Cat.A damage resulted.
