Lancaster PA226 at Croft airfield.

During the evening of 10th February 1945 this 434 Squadron aircraft was to be flown on a night flying training exercise. At 19.30hrs this aircraft was being taxied from it's dispersal pan onto the perimeter track under instruction from a ground marshall, but whom had no torches, when this aircraft collided with Lancaster PA225 that was already taxying along the perimeter track prior to taking off. Both aircraft sustained minor damage. This aircraft carried the nose art "Xotic Angel".
