Halifax NR194 damaged in the air, landed at Leeming airfield.

On 18th February 1945 this 429 Squadron aircraft was flown on a night training flight. During the short flight the port inner engine failed and the pilot was unable to feather the propeller. Before the crew could land the aircraft the castings broke and the port inner propeller broke off in the air. It does not appear to have struck the fuselage as it fell and the crew landed at Leeming at around 20.25hrs.

Pilot - F/O Richard McDiarmid Scott RCAF (J/41118).
