Halifax NR127 damaged by flak, landed at Driffield airfield.

On 2nd January 1945 the crew of this 466 Squadron aircraft took off from Driffield airfield at 15.02hrs to fly an operational flight to Ludwigshaven. They released their bomb load at 18.45hrs from 17,000 feet and landed at Driffield at 21.28hrs. The aircraft sustained minor damage due to enemy flak in the course of the flight but the details of which are not yet known. No mention of the damage is given in the squadron records, it is purely listed in a No.4 Group damage return form found in the Australian National Archives. The aircraft's AM Form 78 confirms that damage occurred.
