On 22nd January 1945 this aircraft was due to be flown by a No.7 Ferry Pilot Pool pilot of the ATA. At 14.30hrs during the engine starting procedure on the starboard engine the hand of a member of ground staff was injured, probably when the engine fired when the propeller was being handturned prior to starting. It was felt that a short in the engine ingnition switching may have been the cause.
